Our Services

Our Services Include

Young care leavers aged 16+, staff support young people to learn independent living skills within their own properties provided by Safehands Liverpool, staff support the young person on a floating support basis. Young people are assisted to maintain their properties in accordance with health & safety regulations & Safehands Liverpool policies & procedures. Staff support the young person to claim universal credits and support the individual to budget their income after paying for their utilities. Young people may require assistance/support to complete their weekly/fortnightly shopping, young people are supported to complete a healthy menu plan incorporating their dietary requirements and as far as reasonably practicable use fresh ingredients within their weekly/fortnightly menu plan.

Accommodation is provided to the young person by Safehands Liverpool, staff are not on site on a 24/7 basis, instead staff provide support to the individual on a 1 hour up to 8-hour floating support package, this is gradually decreased over a period, dependant on the young person’s development within their support programme. Packages of floating support can be adapted at any time throughout the programme.

Safehands Liverpool provide a family contact service to families in the community, family contact workers meet with both parents or parents who are in the process of matrimonial proceedings and supervise their children whilst they are on contact with the parent/ parents. Safehands Liverpool family contact service maybe commissioned by the local authority or requested by CAFCASS / courts etc. The workers observe/monitor the interactions between parents/children during the contacts in the community and observations within the family home. Workers are also observing mealtimes & bedtime routines and recording their observations for social work teams/ solicitors. The family contact service also undertakes private work requested by families.

Safehands Liverpool are currently looking to purchase a property for 4 young people aged 16-18yrs, the young people will receive an individual support package completed around the individuals support requirements. The service will provide 24/7 staff cover the staff will assist the young person to achieve independent living skills prior to taking their own tenancy in the community.

Safehands Liverpool is a service which facilitates safe and professional family contact services for children within our community. Our team of contact supervisors work together with parents and other professionals when families are in the process of matrimonial proceedings.
